We will be holding an umbrella workshop on Thursday, October 13, 2022.
At the workshop, you will be able to experience part of the manufacturing process of Komiya Shoten's Japanese folding umbrellas, and you will be able to create a special umbrella that you can take home on the same day.

The workshop is open to anyone with even the slightest interest in umbrellas.
Come and experience with us how Komiya Shoten's Western-style umbrellas are made, and get a feel for what goes into making an umbrella.

1. Choose an umbrella that you would like to make yourself.

3. Please decide the name you would like to have engraved.

If you select "Alphabet" for your name, please be sure to also indicate your preferred font (block letters or cursive).
*Please note that we may decline your request if we reach capacity. 
Flow of the day
1. Please come to Komiya Shoten's Higashi Nihonbashi shop by 6:30 p.m.
We will start work at the scheduled time. Please make sure you have enough time to attend on the day.
On the day, only those participating in the workshop will be allowed to enter the store from 6:10pm.
2. You will experience the process of "stitching" and "sewing the chrysanthemum seat" for the umbrella of your choice.
The craftsmen at Komiya Shoten will carefully explain the work process.

3. Attach the handle with your name on it and you're done!
If you would like gift wrapping, we will put it in a gift box.
4. After the workshop <br>After the workshop, you will receive a digital certificate and a workshop-exclusive novelty item.
The workshop will be held with strict infection control measures in place.
We also have disinfectant alcohol and vinyl gloves available upon request.
