Repair and maintenance of your purchased umbrella

In order for you to use the umbrellas you purchase from Komiya Shoten for as long as possible, if an umbrella breaks, we will repair or maintain it as long as we have the parts.
Our staff hope that you will love your umbrella and use it for a long time.

Repair procedure

1. Customers visiting the store

No prior notice is required.
Please bring it directly to the store during business hours.
To use the one-year free warranty, please bring the warranty card and show it to the staff. (If you purchased from the online shop, please show a screenshot of your purchase history or email.)
*For customers who purchased the product after October 2024 and do not have a warranty, repairs will be subject to a fee.

2. Delivery customers

If you would like to have your product repaired, please fill out the repair form below.
We will reply to your repair form once we have seen your umbrella.

3. Send us the item you want to repair (only available to those who live in Japan)

- Customers will be responsible for shipping costs for delivery.

・Please send the item to be repaired to the address below within 7 days of submitting the form. At that time, please include a copy of the email you received after submitting the form.
・If the repaired umbrella does not arrive within 7 days, the repair transaction will be cancelled. Thank you for your understanding.

・If you have a warranty, please send it in together with the product. *For customers who purchased the product after October 2024, if you do not submit the warranty, repairs will be charged.

4. The repaired item arrives at our company → We contact the customer → Repairs begin

Once the umbrella arrives at our company, our staff will contact you.

5. Repair completed

・Please note that it will take approximately one month to complete the repair.

・If you choose to have the item delivered within the warranty period, we will return it to you with shipping charges paid by you. (Please pay the shipping charges to the delivery company when the repaired item arrives.)

・For customers who have paid for repairs, the total amount of the shipping fee, repair fee, and cash on delivery fee (330 yen) will be combined and returned to the customer via cash on delivery . (Please pay the shipping fee to the delivery company when the repaired item arrives.)

Important Notice

・If a malfunction occurs and you would like to have the item repaired, please do not attempt to repair it yourself; please leave it in as much of the same condition as possible.
(Please dry any rainwater before placing your luggage.)

-Repair costs vary depending on the condition of the umbrella, so we may not be able to give you an exact repair cost over the phone.

・It usually takes about one month for repairs to be completed after you leave it with us, but depending on the repair content and the time of year, it may take longer than one month. Thank you for your understanding.

・We only repair umbrellas purchased at Komiya Shoten. We are sorry, but we do not accept repairs for products from other companies, as they use different parts.

(If you send us an umbrella from another company for repair, we will return it to you COD. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

・The one-year free warranty (only applies to the ferrule, dabo, fletching wheel, center pole, ribs, support ribs and tip) is only available to customers who have purchased a Japanese-made umbrella from Komiya Shoten's Higashi-Nihonbashi Shop, online shop, Rakuten Store, Amazon Store or Yahoo Store, and who have a warranty card or something that can prove the date of purchase.
*Repairs for DailyUseUmbrella umbrellas made overseas, outlet products, malfunctions caused by the customer, and malfunctions of parts other than those mentioned above (fabric, handles, etc.) will incur a fee.
*If you received the umbrella as a gift and have a warranty, we will ask you for the name of the person who gave it to us and the date of receipt. If we are unable to confirm the data, repairs will be charged. Thank you for your understanding.

・If you purchased a Komiya Shoten Daily Use Umbrella at a Tokyu Hands or Loft store, please contact the store where you made the purchase directly.

If you would like to have the product repaired by shipping, we only accept deliveries within Japan.

Repair parts

We may not be able to repair any parts other than the ferrule, dowel, tip, wheel, center rod, ribs, support ribs, and tip.
