A new series of Koshu weave for women, "TwoPly," is now available from today.
TwoPly has been very well received as a men's series, and we are now introducing a new Twoply from the same series, which has been redesigned with colors and sizes that are easy for women to use. 
Attention to Fabric
Like the Kasane and Tachibana series, TwoPly is a rain/shine umbrella made using double-sided Koshu weave fabric, woven by shuttle-weaving two-colored warp threads together with a weft thread.
The difference between this and other series such as Kasane is that there are no lines on the edges of the fabric.
By making it reversible, we have pursued an even smarter, more simple beauty. 
Because this is a double-woven yarn-dyed fabric, which allows the colors of the front and back threads to show through slightly, giving the fabric a deep color and a high-quality feel, we were particularly particular about the color, and discussed it many times with the fabric and yarn makers, making repeated adjustments. 
Now on sale is a new standard series of Koshu weaving that is easy to wear in any situation, combining basic yet uplifting color combinations, ease of coordination, and elegance. 
Because it is woven on a narrow shuttle loom, the edges of the fabric have selvedge, which means that when the umbrella is closed, the color of the back of the fabric can be seen, adding a stylish touch. 
Although the long umbrella is 60cm and the folding umbrella is 55cm in ladies' sizes, the subtle colors make them suitable for unisex use as well.
In addition, the name band is the same color as the lining to add a fashion accent.

Attention to functionality
Koshu-ori umbrellas are thick because they give off a luxurious feel, but after much trial and error within the company to see if we could make them more convenient and functional rather than just looking good, we decided to have craftsmen attach the name bands on the outside of the folding umbrellas in the standard way. 
Because it is something you will use for a long time, we have placed importance on functionality, making it an umbrella that is easy to use even for daily use.
When traveling, you can fold it up and put it in your suitcase, and use it like a long umbrella when you go out. 
Furthermore, if you unbutton the back of the umbrella bag that comes with the folding umbrella, you can store the umbrella in the bag with the ribs extended like a long umbrella.
After using it in the rain, you can tie the umbrella up with the name band attached to the outside and carry it around without folding it and putting it in an umbrella bag. 
Since the umbrella can be quickly put away in the bag even when wet, it is environmentally friendly and you don't have to worry about your favorite clothes getting wet.
This is a functional folding umbrella that can be used as a long umbrella on rainy days and as a folding umbrella on days when it rains intermittently. 
In addition, the "TwoPly" is a rain and shine umbrella that can be used primarily as an umbrella on sunny days as well.
