Introducing the new men's Koshu woven umbrella "Regimental"

Hello.
I'm Tagawa, a staff member.

The rainy season has finally begun in the Kanto region, and it's the season when you'll need an umbrella.
This time, I will be talking about the new men's umbrella, "Regimental."

This men's umbrella features regimental stripes (diagonal stripes), a pattern that has long been used in necktie designs, made with Koshu weave jacquard.

The umbrella fabric is designed using classic colors for men's suits, making it easy to match with suits and other western clothes, and the subtle stripes and wooden logo create a sophisticated and playful look.

The fabric design also incorporates Komiya Shoten's brand logo, the "kata" mark.
A "kata" is a curved, triangular wooden mold used when cutting the fabric, and craftsmen create one for each type of umbrella.

The length and angle of the wooden mold is adjusted down to the millimeter to match the material and bones, and the carefully selected mold is completed through repeated trial and error, which truly shows the soul of a craftsman.
This mold allows us to create the beautiful umbrella shapes that Komiya Shoten has been committed to since the company was founded.

The long umbrellas are 65cm and have 8 ribs, and the folding umbrellas are 60cm and have 8 ribs.
