Komiya Shoten will be selling a limited number of parasols, created in collaboration with dyeing artist "KODAIYASUNO," on the basement floor of Hankyu Men's Tokyo.
This one-of-a-kind parasol is made by KODAIYASUNO carefully dyeing the fabric using his own techniques after the craftsman has cut and sewn it into an "umbrella cover." Even when you look at the umbrella from directly above, the dyed pattern is connected, creating a one-of-a-kind design.
The dyed umbrella covers have different fabric hardness and other properties, so the process of sewing them to the ribs of the umbrella was carried out carefully one by one, while checking the shape of the umbrella and how easy it was to open and close, to make it into an umbrella.
Please take a look at the "tie-dye" and "batik" parasols, which truly combine the techniques of each craftsman.
