With the fresh mornings and evenings, it's the perfect season for a walk.
Today, I would like to talk about an event taking place in Chuo Ward, where Komiya Shoten is located.
Since last year, Komiya Shoten has been selected as a stop on the "Exciting Tour."

This is a fun "town walking tour" event organized by the Chuo Ward Tourism Association.
Last year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, we only had six customers visit us, but this year we had ten customers visit us.
On the day of the tour, Mr. Komiya, the representative of Komiya Shoten, explained the history of Komiya Shoten and umbrellas to the customers. Afterwards, they took a tour of the "workshop" where umbrellas are actually made, and heard an explanation about umbrella making from a craftsman.
As the workshop is not normally open to customers, everyone on the tour was very interested in how the umbrellas are made. They were able to see the umbrella wooden molds and single-chain sewing machines, and listened with great interest to how the artisans make the umbrellas.
Also, as our company was the last on the tour that day, people who were interested in our umbrellas were able to have a fun time looking at them in our shop after the tour ended.
This is a very popular tour that allows you to learn more about Chuo Ward while visiting various other places in the ward in addition to our company, so if you are interested, please apply early.
