We will be holding an "umbrella workshop" where you can experience part of the manufacturing process of Komiya Shoten's Japanese-made folding umbrellas.
You can take home the umbrella you have completed on the same day, with your name engraved on it.
This time, you can experience the workshop at a special introductory price.

Anyone with even the slightest interest in umbrellas is welcome.
Come and experience with us how Komiya Shoten's Western-style umbrellas are made, and get a feel for what goes into making an umbrella.

1. Choose an umbrella that you would like to make yourself.

3. Please decide the name you would like to have engraved.

Flow of the day
1. Please come to Komiya Shoten's Higashi Nihonbashi shop by 6:30 p.m.
We will start work at the scheduled time. Please make sure you have enough time to attend on the day.
Only those participating in the workshop will be allowed to enter the store on the day.
2. You will experience the process of "stitching" and "sewing the chrysanthemum seat" for the umbrella of your choice.
The craftsmen at Komiya Shoten will carefully explain the work process.

3. Attach the handle with your name on it and you're done!
If you would like gift wrapping, we offer Christmas-only wrapping.
The workshop will be held with strict infection control measures in place.
We also have disinfectant alcohol and vinyl gloves available upon request.
