Komiya Shoten was featured on the TV Tokyo program " Takeshi's Nippon no Mikata! "
On the show, the much respected Takeshi Kitano praised Komiya Shoten's Tokyo umbrellas, and I was so moved that I cried a little! The skilled handiwork of umbrella craftsman Shoichi Kogane and the Higashi Nihonbashi shop were also introduced.
This is the 16-rib Koshu weave with urasima that Takeshi introduced on the show.
Other items introduced included our most popular Koshu weave Kasane umbrellas for both rain and shine, and Isara pattern furoshiki .
