This time, we will introduce a new bag made using "Shosoin-re" umbrella fabric, which can be used in both rain and shine.
The "Shosoin-re" fabric is made from an elegant, textured cotton fabric that reproduces the oldest pattern in Japan, which is housed in the Shosoin Repository of Todaiji Temple, using Nishijin weaving.

The "Shosoin-re" series has been well received as umbrellas to match with kimonos, but we have also received many requests from customers to create a bag made from the same fabric, so this time we have created a bag (handbag) using the umbrella fabric.
We have S and M sizes available, so please use whichever suits your needs.
Small size
This mini bag is made from Shosoin-ori cotton fabric that has been treated to be waterproof (water-repellent and water-resistant) and UV-resistant, so it is durable, water-resistant, and stain-resistant while retaining its texture, making it an extremely convenient bag. 
It's not too big or too small, so it's a perfect size to use as a bag-in-bag, an eco-bag, or for small shopping trips.

Medium size
This bag is also durable, water-resistant, and stain-resistant, making it extremely easy to use.
It is large enough to fit an A4 clear file and has an inner pocket, so you can use it as a bag when you go out or as a sub-bag. 
The handle can also be hung from the shoulder, which is very convenient.
