Since its founding in 1930, Komiya Shoten has continued to make umbrellas with the desire that people will use them for a long time as a part of fashion.
Western-style umbrellas, which were introduced to Japan at the end of the Edo period, were refined by the techniques of Japanese craftsmen and their unique aesthetic sense. We will introduce the appeal of Japanese-made Western-style umbrellas, which continue this tradition and live on in the present day.
It's been almost a century since our founding, and we're still making umbrellas today. We would like to introduce our history and our efforts to adapt working styles to suit the times.
