A new hand-held series, "Mori no Te," has been created in collaboration with Hida Sangyo Co., Ltd., a long-established Japanese furniture manufacturer that uses wood.
About "Hida Sangyo"
Hida craftsmen have demonstrated their high level of woodworking skills since the Asuka period, about 1,300 years ago, and have since been involved in the construction of numerous buildings and sculptures, as well as the construction of temples and shrines in Nara and Kyoto. In terms of furniture making, the origins lie in the bentwood furniture that was started in 1920 by people who were thinking of using beech wood, which was unused at the time, and this is said to be what has led to Hida and Takayama being a furniture production area today.
Hida Sangyo is the company that has inherited the artisan techniques that have been cultivated over such a long history.

The beginning of "Mori-no-te"
Hida Sangyo, a company that values "passion" when it comes to manufacturing, responded to our "passion," which made this collaboration come true.
Although the products we handle - umbrellas and furniture - are different, we both share the same passion for creating products that consider the user and our desire to convey the appeal of those products. With Mori no Te, our passion has been brought to life through the skills of our artisans.
<h4><strong>About "Mori-no-te"</strong></h4>
Mori no Te is available in three different designs, focusing on warmth, texture, and shape.
This handle is attractive for its comfortable grip and beautiful shape, which can only be experienced thanks to the advanced techniques accumulated by artisans over more than 100 years of history.
All of the materials used are domestically produced chestnut wood, so you can enjoy the various wood grain expressions that give you a sense of the majestic nature.
The shape of a circle
It is a shape of a large circle and a small circle lined up next to each other.
The uneven surface makes it easy to hold, and when combined with an umbrella it gives a soft and gentle image.
The beautiful grain of the chestnut wood is clearly visible, allowing you to appreciate the quality of the material.
Available in two colors: "Natural" and "Light".
The shape of the "knot"
The smooth, gentle curves create a shape that resembles the nodes of bamboo.
This handle when attached to an umbrella gives the whole umbrella a more tasteful finish.
It is characterized by its stability and ease of holding.
Two colors are available: light and dark brown.
It can be used by both men and women, and the different colour variations give it a different look.
The shape of the "hole"
The beautiful and intricate design is reminiscent of a work of sculpture.
The part you hold is slightly shaped so that it fits comfortably in your hand.
This handle is also recommended for both men and women, and gives the umbrella a more sophisticated finish.
Available in two colors: light and brown.
Leather Cord
"Maru" and "Fushi" come with genuine leather strings.
By passing the string through the handle, you can hang it on your hand and carry it around.
If you wish, you can tie a genuine leather string to the "Hori." (Please ask the shop staff if you wish to do so.)
There are many ways to combine these with Komiya Shoten umbrellas, so please enjoy creating a variety of outfits.
