Komiya Shoten's Higashi-Nihonbashi shop is a duty-free store, and in the past it was visited by customers from various countries.
Recently, due to the influence of the coronavirus, we haven't had a chance to meet for a while, but around autumn this year, the number of tourists coming to Japan increased, and customers from overseas have started visiting Komiya Shoten every day.
So today, I would like to introduce a customer who visited us recently.
Her name is HANI ESMAEILI.
He lives in California and visited us with his wife.
HANI apparently traveled to Hokkaido, Kobe, Atami, and other places before coming to Tokyo.
While sightseeing in Hokkaido, he saw our umbrellas at the lifestyle shop "YUIQ" in Sapporo, where he became interested and decided to visit our store.
"YUIQ" is a lifestyle shop that promotes Hokkaido's manufacturing culture.
Some of our western-style umbrellas are available here.
If you live near Sapporo or are visiting the city, please stop by.
(Stock availability is subject to change, so please contact the store for details.)

HANI was looking for an umbrella for himself, and this time he purchased a men's plaid long umbrella/folding umbrella.

The customer liked the checkered design on the back and chose both the long umbrella and the folding umbrella in the same series and color.
In addition, six Miratore topless folding umbrellas were purchased as gifts for family and friends.

Apparently, in America, few people use umbrellas even when it rains.
Even though they live in an environment with a different lifestyle than in Japan, they not only purchase umbrellas for themselves but also as gifts for people around them, and even received the compliment, "Komiya Shoten's umbrellas are so beautiful!"
We were happy, but at the same time, both we and the craftsmen felt a sense of responsibility.
We will continue to do our utmost to preserve the tradition of Japanese umbrellas, which are now rare even in Japan, and to deliver products that are designed with the user in mind.
