I am a shop staff member at Komiya Shoten.
The PTA members of an elementary school chose umbrellas from Komiya Shoten as celebratory gifts for their graduating students, and we were preparing the gifts.
Each item is inspected, placed in an assembled box, wrapped, and tagged.
Carefully tape the back of the gift wrapping paper so that the letters are neatly centered and aligned on the box.
I suddenly thought back to what my elementary and junior high school graduation ceremonies were like.
"What did you receive when you graduate?" The staff also discussed among themselves what gifts they received when they graduated from elementary and junior high school.
"I was given a music box, and the song was the school song."
"I feel like I got a stamp."
"It was so long ago I forgot."
"I got some steamed buns."
It's been a long time since I graduated from elementary and junior high school, so I can't remember those days clearly, but back then I was on the receiving end of gifts, and now when I have the opportunity to give gifts like this,
"The graduation gifts were filled with the thoughts of the PTA and the school, and went through all the preparation work before being presented to us," I thought, and felt a sense of emotion.
What did you receive as a gift for your graduation?
Like the staff at Komiya Shoten, the "school song music box" was a bit of a rare item.
I'm curious if there are any of you out there.
