Participated in the upcycling project "Artisans" that reuses airbags as umbrella fabric

Upcycled umbrella

Currently at Otemachi MIRAI LAB PALETTE Umbrellas that were created in collaboration with the Sumitomo Corporation-sponsored project "Artisans" are on display at the exhibition.

This project aims to create new value through craftsmanship by using discarded or unused parts and tools, and waste materials from manufacturing processes. We are exhibiting a folding umbrella made from unused airbags taken from scrapped cars and reused as fabric. It is an attractive item that gives a glimpse of a new form of manufacturing.

Please come and see it if you are in the area.

A variety of upcycled products are on display, including Edo Kiriko glasses made from whiskey bottles.
