Komiya Shoten will be exhibiting Tokyo umbrellas at the Tokyo Traditional Crafts Exhibition 2019 at Shinjuku Takashimaya.

Notice of exhibition and sale.

Last year, the Tokyo Umbrella was designated a Traditional Craft of Tokyo by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
Therefore, we have decided to exhibit the "Tokyo Western Umbrella" as the 41st new traditional craft item at the Tokyo Traditional Crafts Exhibition, which will be held at Shinjuku Takashimaya from the 18th.

Among them is the traditional craft umbrella "Striped on the inside for use in both rain and shine" made by Komiya Shoten.

This umbrella is carefully crafted using traditional techniques and materials that were used for Western-style umbrellas 100 years ago, and is available in two sizes: 55cm for women and 65cm for men.

In addition to traditional crafts, we also have many of Komiya Shoten's popular umbrellas, so even if you don't usually have the chance to make it to Higashi-Nihonbashi, please come and visit with your friends.

Date and time: Friday, January 18th to Wednesday, January 23rd, 2019, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
However, on Friday, January 18th and Saturday, January 19th, the exhibition will be open until 8:30pm, and on the final day it will close at 6pm.

Location: Shinjuku Takashimaya 11th floor event hall
