September is just around the corner, but the hot weather continues every day.
According to the three-month forecast released by the Japan Meteorological Agency in late July, the average temperature for the three months from August to October is expected to be "higher" than normal in eastern Japan, western Japan, Okinawa, and Amami.
Don't be complacent and think "Summer is over so it's okay!" but you should continue taking measures to prevent heatstroke!
Meanwhile, a poster on heatstroke prevention produced by the Japan Weather Association is attracting attention.
I was also surprised by the eye-catching catchphrase, "Can we stop thinking that parasols are feminine? The problem is prejudice, not UV rays."

In addition to the sweltering heat every day, the Japan Weather Association is recommending the use of parasols to prevent heatstroke, which is on the rise due to the need to wear masks in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As this slogan says, I hope that men too will be able to feel free to use parasols to prevent heatstroke.
As an umbrella maker, we would be even happier if men began using our parasols as part of their fashion sense.
The Japan Weather Association has also produced other posters related to parasols, which we will introduce below.

"You can walk in the shade for an infinite amount of time. On a hot summer day, a parasol can reduce the perceived temperature by 7 degrees."
"This is great for children who don't know how to social distance. Parasols not only protect against the heat, but also help avoid crowds."
Both slogans were very relevant to the times and stayed in my mind.
This year, it looks like the hotter-than-usual weather will continue into autumn, so I'm sure that parasols that can protect the head from direct sunlight will continue to provide everyone with a sense of coolness and will continue to be useful.
We encourage not only women but also men to become "parasol boys" and use parasols to prevent heatstroke and the coronavirus.
Komiya Shoten also has a large selection of men's parasols, so please take a look if you're interested!
