Delicious donut shop "Haritts"
This is the second in our series on delicious restaurants within walking distance of Komiya Shoten, and this time we'll be introducing a donut shop that has long lines of people waiting to get in.
Speaking of donuts, Haritz is the one!
Haritz has been running a mobile food business since the days when food trucks were not even a thing, and I've been a big fan of theirs ever since.
Later, a lovely donut and coffee cafe converted from an old house opened in Yoyogi-Uehara, and it also became so popular that there were soon long queues.
There was a fierce scramble for the donuts, and they sold out in a flash, and now they have become a rare and hard-to-find donut.
Just the other day, on my way to Komiya Shoten from Kodenmacho Station, I smelled a nostalgic scent coming from the first floor of the building...
When I turned around, I saw "Haritts right here!"
After some research, I found out that the second store, following the Yoyogi-Uehara store, had opened in Kodenmacho. Tears of joy!!
I went there at 11:30, the opening time, and there was already a line of people there.
The Kodenmacho store currently seems to specialize in takeout, but they also sold sandwiches and scones in addition to donuts.
It had been a while since I had last eaten the donut, and it was just as fluffy and chewy as ever, with finely ground sugar that spread deliciously in my mouth.
These donuts have a mild flavor and are free of preservatives, making them good for your body.
The sandwich I had for the first time was very filling and the flavor of the ingredients really stood out.
If you are heading back to Kodenmacho after browsing the umbrellas at Komiya Shoten, why not buy some donuts as a souvenir?
Please check here for store opening hours etc.
