Recommended soba restaurant "Fukuya"

Hello, this is Kato.
With each rain, autumn deepens, and we can feel winter gradually approaching.

And speaking of autumn...it's also the season for appetite!

Recently, many new cafes and restaurants have opened around the Higashi-Nihonbashi shop.
Customers who visit our shop often ask about recommended stores, so on this blog we would like to introduce some of the recommended stores that our staff have actually visited.
If you visit Komiya Shoten, please be sure to stop by.

The first one is a soba restaurant located a 7-minute walk from Komiya Shoten.

"Fukuya"

Once you enter through the quaint entrance reminiscent of a teahouse, you'll be greeted by a lovely setting to find yourself at an authentic soba restaurant.
It is open for lunch and dinner, and I have visited both, so I would like to introduce the atmosphere of both.

First, let's talk about dinner.
Because they use fresh seasonal ingredients, the appetizers were amazingly tasty and very satisfying.
In addition to soba, we were also recommended skewers such as yakitori, including moist and mellow-tasting liver, soft and juicy chicken breast, and the colorful grilled ginkgo nuts that gave us a taste of autumn. They were absolutely delicious and I was impressed!
The main soba dish is also excellent, and in the evening you can compare two or even three different types of soba noodles.

When I visited for lunch, I ordered the "Large Shrimp and Vegetarian" tempura and soba noodle set.
I was also impressed by the large, plump shrimp and seasonal vegetable tempura.
For lunch, I ordered hot soba noodles; the first time I had soba noodles from Tochigi, and the second time I had soba noodles from Hokkaido.

In addition to the food, they also pay particular attention to the tableware, all of which are one-of-a-kind.
The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is great, making this a popular restaurant among staff.
Please stop by after looking at umbrellas at Komiya Shoten.
